Twas the Day After Bible School Printable

Twas the Day After Bible School

Another year of (Vacation Bible School) VBS at Piedmont Baptist completed. I got to help with the youth and the van ministry. It’s a blessing to serve to see these kids learn about Jesus.

In 2014, on the last day of Agency D3, Pastor shared with me after I got done with the van route of a poem that somebody print it off for him. It was entitled Twas the day after Bible School. It has the same kind of flow as ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.

I don’t know if this poem is the same as the one he had but I found one on the internet and wanted to share with you since we just completed our VBS last night.

‘Twas the Day After Bible School

‘Twas the day after Bible school and all over town

a sigh of relief, we all settled down.
Out to the golf course goes Pa in his cap,
And back in the bedroom Ma is taking a nap.

Gone Linda, gone Brenda, gone David and Johnny,
Gone Margie, and Mary, and Ronnie and Donnie.
Gone stories, and prayers, and songs in the air,
Gone paint under fingernails and paste in the hair.

Rest sweetly, dear workers and wake with good cheer,
For Bible School won’t come again for a whole ‘nother year.
As they drifted off, I heard them exclaim’.
“It was worth all the hard work and we’d do it again!”

Hard work

In addition, I know that Vacation Bible School can be a lot of hard work. Especially since we get up, go to work, turn around and head straight to Bible School.

Then, go home, study for next day, go to bed, then back up in the morning. Some of us even have to be at church early to prep for the day or even help on van ministry to pick up the kids. However, that hard work, but it is well worth it to see the joy on these kids and even adults faces. The seeds that get planted, water or even a full harvest.

Just remember anything we do for the Lord’s benefit. Plus what ever we do for His Kingdom doesn’t go in vain. (See 1 Corinthians 15:58).

I am not sure who wrote this, but doing google research, I saw it on Smithville Church with Tim Woodward. If anyone knows where this may have come from, please let me know, so I can properly give credit where credit is due. I first published this June 7, 2014. Last republished or updated June 1, 2021.

In God We Trust Day a day based on that is imprinted on our currency here in the United States. Our Nation was founded under One Nation under God. Anymore it seems God has been removed from everything. We Christians are just taking it and not standing up for our beliefs and allowing this to happen all because today’s world believes in being politically correct (pc) they say. Did you know there is a In God We Trust Day as well? #InGodWeTrust

The Red & Black Ant Analogy — Understanding the True Enemy — In the natural world, there’s a fascinating phenomenon involving ants. If you place 100 black ants and 100 red ants in a jar, they coexist peacefully. However, if the jar is shaken, chaos ensues. The ants, now agitated, begin to attack each other, perceiving their fellow jar-mates as the enemy. This behavior provides a poignant metaphor for human society, where often the true adversary is not the one who appears different from us, but rather the one who incites division.

Hiding Mini Jesus Figurines / Hiding Little Jesus Figurines — The activity of hiding mini Jesus figures in churches, schools, and stores seems to be a recent trend aimed at providing a physical reminder of Jesus’ presence in everyday life. It’s a way to encourage people to remember the spiritual aspect of their lives as they go about their daily routines.
