Truett Cathy of Chick-fil-A 1921-2014

This blog post is done in the memory of Truett Cathy, the founder/owner of Chick-fil-A, a Christian-based restaurant. Mr. Cathy died at age 93.

Mr. Cathy passed away early in the morning of Sept. 8, 2014.

Chick-fil-A spokesman Mark Baldwin told The Associated Press that Cathy died at home surrounded by members of his family. The company said in a statement that preliminary plans are for a public funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Jonesboro in Jonesboro, Georgia.1
