Tonsillectomy Recovery Week 1

Day 6 – Wednesday

Tonsillectomy Recovery & Adenoidectomy Recovery

Experiencing body chills. I notice that the drainage feeling got more intense. I did start blowing my nose a good bit too. I kept a very bad headache this day. Throat pain came and went, mostly dull and scratchy. I also felt sick to my stomach. I didn’t go to church. I stayed home and rested. I missed going because I finally had a chance to go on a Wednesday. My main job prevents me most of the time. The ladies at Piedmont Baptist WMU sent me home a balloon and a card, my daughter was able to go.

I also started to eat mashed potatoes. I allowed it to cool a lot and ate tiny bites. It seemed hard to eat because it was warm and not cold like I have been eating. But it tasted good. I was only able to eat a few baby bites as it was hard to attempt to eat mashed potatoes. Tasted good, doesn’t slide down like ice cream or cold soft foods. I’ll have to try another day. Mashed potatoes seem to stick to your mouth. Maybe if the mashed potatoes was runny, but even the warmness of the mashed potatoes seemed to bother me.
