988 Short Number for Suicide Prevention Hotline – A short number has been proposed for the Suicide Prevent Hotline. It is similar to others like 911 for Emergency calls, 311 for City Calls and 511 Highway Info. #988

Suicide Hotline into Corn Maze – A Wisconsin farmer decided to put the suicide hotline into his corn maze as well as Your Life Matters on the the corn maze. Govin’s Farm in Menomonie, WI has an 11-acre maze (that is about the size of 14 football fields). On the corn maze it says “Your life matters” and has the number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
