Remove your lids

Remove your lids, otherwise known as hats, caps, etc. The removal of your hat shows respect. Something we should do if we enter the House of the Lord. We also should do it anytime we play our National Anthem or even the Pledge of Allegiance, anytime the colors, or the flags are presented. Can we spell Respect?

Respect means to hold in esteem or honor, to show regard or consideration for, to refrain from intruding upon or interfering with, deference to a right, privilege, privileged position, or someone or something considered to have certain rights or privileges; proper acceptance or courtesy; acknowledgment. So lets show respect for God when we are in His House. Give Him the honor and courtesy He rightfully deserves.

Plus lets show our respect for our Flag, a lot of men and women died, became injured fighting for the freedoms we have in America.

Today it seems that a lot of people don’t seem to know how to show respect for God or even for Country. We that live in American should thank God that we do. In other countries we wouldn’t have the freedoms that we have. One of them being freedom of religion, being able to choose what we believe or not. A lot of countries make you believe what they want you to believe.

1 Chronicles 29:11

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,
The power and the glory,
The victory and the majesty;
For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;
Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
And You are exalted as head over all.

Romans 13:1

Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

Next time you enter the House of the Lord or even when colors are presented, remove your lid. Show respect where respect is due. Thank God for what you have and what you don’t have. God bless and have a great day.
