Religious Freedom Day

January 16, marks Religious Freedom Day, however I personally believe its turning into Freedom from Religion, more so from the Christian Faith. It is okay to share your faith if you are some other religion, Muslim, Jewish, Islam, etc. But if you are Christian, you can’t. I believe that is because there is power in Christ. People know that Christ will reveal their wrongs and they know that Christ will change them. The devil doesn’t want anyone saved, but God wants everyone saved. Also note Religious Freedom Sunday is the Sunday before the 16th of January. In 2021, it was January 10, 2021.

Religious Freedom Day

January 16 is Religious Freedom Day - The First Amendment - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abriding the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
First Amendment Religious Freedom

According to the website it is to allow students to know about their religious rights. But that is funny if you pray or read your Bible in school you get sent home, to the principles office and/or even your Bible taken away. We have the right to pray and read in schools. Don’t let them bully you not to.

I say it’s time to be bold, not ashamed and proudly proclaim the Gospel. Take advantage of this day and every day to win someone to Christ. Don’t be ashamed. If you are ashamed of Christ, Christ will be ashamed of you. You can use Gospel Tracts as conversation starters too. Who have you told the Gospel to today or lately? (2 Timothy 1:8 | Romans 1:16 | Mark 16:15-16 | Matthew 28:19)

Not to mention, The Great Commission is a command, not an option. How would you like watching those you were suppose to witness to, maybe family, friends, neighbors, or a random person, be cast to hell? Don’t be afraid to witness. God will be with you as you do. Those who lose their life for Him, will gain their life. (Luke 17:33 | Matthew 16:25 | Matthew 10:38 | Mark 8:35)

First Amendment

The first amendment helps protect our religious freedoms. In 1971 the first amendment was given to us. It reads, “The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.”

If we look at the first amendment, everyday is Religious Freedom day in America. Be thankful you don’t live in other countries where if they found you were Christian they would kill you or torture you. But, sadly but the way this country is turning its eyes off God, we may be in that predicament one day.
