There is a total of 15 Talks and this is the second. So feel free to subscribe to my blog to stay updated on the lasted blog post.

I am going to try to get one Talk per day posted …

Talk by Ken Abbott

What is prevenient grace you may ask?

It is the courtship of the Grace of God.

We receive this because God loves us so much. He used other people, church, etc to get our attention. We don’t see it while going through it, but when we look back we do.

Noah’s Ark (boat) – The Ark was Grace
Moses see’s burning bush – God makes Himself known

Grace by Jesus by forgiveness.

Acronym for Grace

G – God’s
R – riches
A – at
C – Christ
E – Expense

Christ paid our debt for sin. He died on the Cross for our sins. God sent His son to die for us. We are drawn by the ever-loving kindness of God. Our God gives us Agape Love.

From conception to conversion  – Grace

God’s grace makes it known of other layers that need converted (it is a life time process). We respond in faith, unique relationship we have with God.

When we climb up on the lap of God, He will show us what needs to be shown. We have to seek Him and trust in Him.

Don’t run from Grace of God

Read the whole chapter of John 11. God wants to unbind you so you will be that kind of person He wants you to be …

  1. Look back on your life and see How God’s grace is Prevenient Grace to this point where you are today.
  2. Have God show you those areas in your life that still need to be converted (given over to God, to repent or turn away from sin).
  3. God Started our plan way before we knew it, before we were born. He has always known our plan.

The above reminds me of a StatusShuffle I saw on Facebook.

Being Christian doesn’t mean that we are “SINLESS” It means we try to “SIN LESS” ♥ We just do our best to live according to God’s will. 🙂

Prevenient grace is a Christian theological concept rooted in Arminian theology, though it appeared earlier in Catholic theology. It is divine grace that precedes human decision. It exists prior to and without reference to anything humans may have done. As humans are corrupted by the effects of sin, prevenient grace allows persons to engage their God-given free will to choose the salvation offered by God in Jesus Christ or to reject that salvific offer.1
