Police Officers Prayer

Police Officers Prayer – A prayer for those serving our communities, cities, counties, states, etc. as police officers. #PoliceOfficersPrayer

I saw this graphic on Facebook and knew I had to share with my readers. As a child growing up one of the things I said I wanted to be was a police officer. However, I never done that, but I was a security officer. But I know a lot of Police Officers from my mom working as a civilian job for a local police department. Plus, I also worked inside a police department before too.

Police Officers Prayer

This prayer goes out to all the Police Officers throughout the world. This is the original image I saw and has published.

Police Officers Prayer

Lord I ask for courage
Courage to face and Conquer my own fears …
Courage to take me Where others will not go ….
I ask for strength
Strength of body to protect others
And Strength of spirit to lead others …

I ask for dedication
Dedication to my job, to do it well.
Dedication to my community,
To keep it safe …
Give me Lord, concern
For others who trust me
And compassion for those who need me …
And please Lord
Through it all
Be at my side …

I am unsure the author of this. This graphic has a signature at the bottom, but I cannot make it out either.

So I choose to make this into a printable, shown below!

Police Officers Prayer Printable

Remember police officers risk their own life, their own safety for ours. These police officers often spend time away from their own lives and their own families just for the safety of the community.  Be sure to thank Police Officers for their service for our community when you come across one or more. I also encourage you to Pray for your local law enforcement as well. Police officers are to protect and serve. Jesus came to protect us from evil and also to serve us as well.

Maybe you can give this prayer along with a survival kit for police officers along with other ways to show appreciation for your law enfourcement (police officers).

If you know who wrote this prayer, please let me know, so I can give proper credit.

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) is January 9th each year!

Thank You Police Officers

20th anniversary of the powerful film, “The Passion of the Christ.” In 2004, director Mel Gibson brought to the big screen a visceral and unflinching portrayal of the final hours of Jesus Christ. The film, aptly titled “The Passion of the Christ,” chronicles the agony, betrayal, arrest, torture, and crucifixion of Jesus. Here are some key points to reflect upon:
  • No Bones About It — Jesus is Alive!
The phrase ‘No Bones About It’ is often used as well to state a fact with no doubt meaning Christ arose from the dead His bones were never found! Jesus Christ is surely alive!
  • Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday)
Maundy Thursday we don’t hear about this day too much, especially as a Baptist. Holy Week, that starts on Palm Sunday, week before the resurrection of Christ. Maundy Thursday falls the day before Good Friday and Easter. This is just a short write up on this day. #MaundyThursday #HolyThursday
  • Searching for Christ
Why do we go searching for Christ as if He is lost and someone to be found. We have it wrong it’s the other way around, Christ is seeking us who is lost so we can be found!
  • Spy Wednesday
Spy Wednesday or known as Holy Wednesday or even known as Great and Holy Wednesday. Sometimes known as Good Wednesday. This is the Wednesday that leads up to Easter. Part of Holy Week. #SpyWedneday #HolyWednesday #GoodWednesday

  1. I like this. I was never a police officer, but I did work in nuclear security for a while. I had a lot of friends there that were ex-police. We’ve had some crazy conversations about day to day life and situations they found themselves in. I also have friends that became officers, one died in the line of duty at the young age of 23. He left behind a young wife and (at that time) an unborn daughter. This was a very sad time for our community. Everyone should do like you said, thank an officer for his daily sacrifice and pray for the officer and their families. They are just as important to us as our military and their jobs can be just as dangerous.

    God Bless you.

    1. One of our deacons is a K9 officer for the state. I’ve known several since I worked for a police department and my mom worked at a couple.

I believe we must thank all our service men and women for their service. I do this to police, fire fighters, veterans, military etc.

I have a prayer for fire fighters posted too.

Thank you for your comment it’s greatly appreciated.

  2. I have just became the new Pastor to lead the Flag Raising service for the Police Military Outpost in Dipolog City Philippines.  I read your Policeman’s Prayer and just loved it.  I have added a few more lines to it and plan to use it next Monday morning at my first flag raising.  After the flag raising we do a 30 minute Moral Enhancement class so send some prayers my way.  Thanks so much.   Pastor Budrick B. 3. Pastor Bud That is awesome that you do that at the Flag Raising. Awesome more lines added eh? I didn’t write this prayer. It was one I found online and I liked it and felt led to share on here. Keep up the work spreading the Gospel in the Philippines. God Bless.
