Stacy & Justin Breeden, singing at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church’s, Block Party, August 24, 2013

I would like to take this time to make a blog post for pastor appreciation month, which is in October. This post goes out to my buddy Justin Breeden. I have known him for a quiet awhile now. He is truly a godly man and mentor. Very knowledgeable in the Word and theology too.

Pastor Appreciation: Justin Breeden

Justin has got to pastor a church in Knoxville for about three years. Justin currently has been filling in for pastors in the Jefferson County area when that pastor couldn’t preach. I pray God will bring him to a church where God needs him at. That church would have a great pastor in my opinion!

It has been a blessing to assist Justin with set up for his audio and visual for various Bible Studies, preaching at a local nursing home, preaching at Samaritan House and much more. Not to mention, one time I went with Justin to the Jefferson County Work Release Jail, where he filled in to preach.

July 2013, Justin, myself, his church youth and our youth went to Difference at Carson Springs in Newport. I got to learn from Justin there at camp as well as share a cabin for a week with him and a few if our boys.

My daughter and I got to go with Justin evangelizing and giving out tracts and Gospel of John’s. I get to learn a lot while out with him evangelizing as well. Justin is very knowledgeable in God’s Word plus knows a lot about other beliefs, cults and religions. I even learned a lot from his Bible studies and listening to him preach a few times at Piedmont, nursing home and the Samaritan House. He even has taught and showed us how to evangelize using the Way of the Master Good Person Test.

Justin Breeden is a good mentor to me, as I feel led to work with youth. When I got off track there, he has been one to talk to me on it and see that I get back on track. He also has shared with me how he studies, takes notes, giving me tips and suggested books as must have and other books of interest to aid in study. When he studies new things, he often shares it with me and gets my opinion. He will make you think that is for sure! In a way it is a form of a challenge to learn more or dig deeper into the Word. Allowing you to go more than ankle-deep in God’s Word and theology too.

Justin Breeden also does a great job playing guitar and singing. You do not see too many preachers who can do both singing and preaching. You can see that in the picture above. Justin and his wife, Stacy, are singing at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for their block party in 2013.

I am very blessed to have such a godly man in my life to take the time to do this. He shows great love and concern for everyone. A concern for the lost to hear the Word of God. He sure does help you learn more and give you more advice too and he suggest things of study and books to read to dig deeper into your study. I believe Justin is also an encourager.

Justin also writes a column that is featured both on Courageous Christian Father and also The Living by Faith page. His column is called The Word of the Week.

Justin is truly has a great godly man and any church would be blessed to have him because he will preach the truth!

Please when you pray remember Pastor Justin Breeden in your prayers too!

Don’t forget to thank your pastor and tell him
How much you appreciate him.
