Hot Tea Christianity – As Christians we often be like a bag of tea. We never know what we are going to be like until we are put into hot water.
Hot Tea Christianity
The tea bag is the Christian. While the hot water can be trials and anything that comes in our life. When those hot water comes, often we do not know what we will get. Will you be able to endure the hot water and come out strong? Maybe you can’t stand the heat and come out weak? The one way to come out strong is putting our trust and faith in Jesus alone. He is the one that gives us the strength to endure.
There are two sayings Proof’s in the Pudding and if you want to know what is inside a person, bump them a little, and see what spills out. Sometimes we never know what the tea will turn out like because we are unsure of or put bad stuff inside us. That is why it is important to fill us with the things of God, so the things of God can spill out instead.
Enduring the heat
In order to come out strong, we must endure the heat. This heat can come as trials and temptations. We must remember that Jesus Christ is with us during this time. It is His strength we need to endure this heat so we can come out a full flavorful Christian. One other thing, when we purify gold or metals you must put it in the fire or heat to make it pure again.
Giving up on the heat
When we rely on our own power, we will come out weak. We will come out watered down. It will show that we didn’t withstand the heat. If we give up on the heat, we cannot be made pure again like how precious metal is made pure in the fire 0r heat.
Faith Triumphs in Trouble – Romans 5:1-5
5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Profiting from Trials – James 1:2-8
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
