The Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch at Oakes Farm

I got to go do a blog review and also be with my youth at The Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch at Oakes Farm this past Saturday, October 18, 2014. I have been to a few corn mazes, last year, I believe was my first time going to a corn maze. From the corn mazes that I have been to, I think this is the biggest one! If I am not mistaking this may be the biggest corn maze in the East Tennessee area.

They have all kinds of activities, two corn mazes to choose from (flash light & a haunted), plus much more, over 25 activities to choose from.

I think this is one of the best corn mazes to visit. Our youth at church love this one and we go every year. Last year was my first time visiting this location.

They even have free ample parking!

Corn maze

Half our youth did the haunted maze and the other half did the regular maze. This was my first time doing a corn maze at night. I had a flash light. It is much different than during the day. Can you solve the Farm Scene Investigation at this farm or find all the check points in the lighted maze?

One thing to think about when you go to a corn maze, if it has rained a lot before you plan to visit, be prepared for mud! It was muddy during our visit, since it has almost rained off and on for close to 2 weeks.

On the haunted mace, one of our youth tripped, the people started to scare them, and they told them they need a time out, since this one person got hurt. They asked if they needed assistance, they said no, because just tripped on a log or something. And they allowed them to exit. So the staff in the haunted maze does seem rather caring in that part.

One of the youth was scared of clowns, so their friends told the staff that and a few of the clowns followed our one youth throughout the maze. So I guess if you have a phobia of some kind, don’t let them know, if you go to the haunted Trail of Doom.

Pumpkin Patch

I didn’t add or get the pumpkin patch with my visit. None of our youth did either. I think the younger kids would enjoy that much better. But you can add this and pick you a pumpkin that you can take home.
