National Fried Chicken Day

National Fried Chicken Day – A day to even eat fried chicken. We all know us Baptist love to eat. If you are a Baptist Pastor, more than likely you like fried chicken aka the gospel goose. #FriedChickenDay

National Fried Chicken Day

Fried chicken, floured or batter dipped and then deep-fried or pan-fried. This flouring or batter makes the crispy exterior. Personally, I like this skin and crisp outside the best. I will pill it off and save it for last. You can use lard or oils to fry the chicken in.

My all time favorite fried chicken is from Bojangles’. I like the Cajun seasoning they add to theirs.

National Fried Chicken Day is held annually July 6. I couldn’t find out this holiday got started. However, I do know that some restaurants give discounts on their fried chicken. You might want to check with your local fried chicken restaurant. Some places offering discounts. KFC, Steak ‘N Shake, Church’s Chicken, Wingstop, Bostom Market, Carl’s Jr., Hardess, Kingsley’s Chicken and Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken.

So go to your favorite restaurant and eat there or maybe take it to go and have a picnic. If you are a good cook, perhaps cook your own fried chicken for National Fried Chicken Day. Perhaps you can give your pastor a gift card to his favorite fried chicken restaurant.
