Carol of the Bells – Claymation Christmas

This is one I remember as a child growing up. It is from the Claymation Christmas with the California Raisins. This is the song “Carol of the Bells”

Youtube posters note: Carol of the Bells is so funny with Quasimodo as the conductor. One “dumb bell” almost ruins the performance but maestro finds a way to complete the musical piece at the end. Funny!

Will Vinton’s A Claymation Christmas Celebration is a Christmas television special originally broadcast on the American CBS TV network on December 21, 1987, according to WikiPedia.

I was 11-Year-Old in 1987 when this first aired. I am not sure how old I was when I remembered this show, but I remember watching this, Frosty, Rudolph, Garfield’s Christmas, Peanuts Christmas, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, The Muppet’s Christmas Carol and more a child growing on public air television.

Claymation is nothing but clay animation. The figures in the animation are made of clay and are moved along, made in motion, to make the story. Most of the time, it is moving the figures very slightly and taking the next frame.
