The Book of Proverbs is the 20th Book of the Holy Bible. It is the second book of the third section (called Writings). 1

A proverb is a wise saying or a short and popular saying.2

A secular proverb seeks to state a general (not absolute) truth. The proverbs in The Book of Proverbs has divine inspiration because they came from God. They are true and inspirational guiding us to eternal life. 3

A repeated theme in this Book of Proverbs is Fear of God, meaning the submission to the will of God or a reverence to God. Plus how to gain wisdom, the Proverbs Challenge is a good way to read this Book of the Bible.

The Book of Proverbs gives you great insight on how to live your life according to what God wants, how to gain wisdom and much more.

There is exactly 31 Chapters in the Book of Proverbs. I originally posted this for May, but I figured I would add to it for October. This time, I plan to take one chapter per day in October and post about a verse and/or something about that chapter. So make sure you follow Courageous Christian Father so you won’t miss what I share about that chapter that day. I will do this for the next 31 days, taking one chapter per day.

Months with 31 days …

  • January
  • March
  • May
  • July
  • August
  • October
  • December

If a month doesn’t have 31 Days you can just continue on into next month. If you miss a day you can double up the next or just extend it out on the reading.

I spent April, the year I first published this blog post, reading the Book of Proverbs. If the month doesn’t have 31 days, you can double up a chapter one day in order to make up those days. For example ready Chapters 30 and 31 on the 30th. Or you can read chapter 31 on the 1st of th next month. February will you can adjust it differently if you wished to start reading in February. As you can see above, there are 7 months of the year with 31 days in it.

I first heard about this challenge when I was at one of the Johnny Hunt’s Men’s Conference in Woodstock, GA. Where they challenged the men to do this challenge. I finally got to it and now I am challenging you my fellow blog readers.
